Togo don show say dem wan collect more electricity from Nigeria to help meet the plenty electricity wey people and industries for their country dey need.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Niger Delta Power Holding Company, Jennifer Adighije, talk this one for statement wey dem release on Sunday.

She talk am after some people from Togo national electricity company visit the company headquarters to discuss power supply.

According to Adighije, the visit from officials of Compagnie Energie Electrique du Togo show say the country wan work more with Nigeria for energy matter by increasing the amount of electricity wey dem dey import from Nigeria.

She also talk say this move show the important role wey Nigeria dey play to support electricity supply for the region and to make energy connection stronger among West African countries.

As e be now, Nigeria dey supply electricity give some neighbouring countries through regional power agreement, including Benin, Niger and Togo, as part of effort to promote energy trade and keep stability for the region.

The discussion between both sides go help make cooperation for power sector stronger and also help reduce electricity shortage for Togo, while e go also increase Nigeria presence for the regional energy market.
