Tinubu Congratulate Winners For FCT, Kano, Rivers Elections

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu don send him congratulations give the winners of the recent elections for Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Kano and Rivers. Him praise how peaceful the voting process take go, and talk say strong leadership dey inside the ruling party.

 

For statement wey dem release on Sunday through him Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Presido Tinubu hail all the candidates wey win for Saturday elections across the six area councils for FCT, plus the by-elections for Ahoada East II and Khana II constituencies for Rivers, and Kano Municipal and Ungogo constituencies for Kano State.

The President advise all the people wey dem elect make dem carry their new position with humility, patriotism and dedication, as he describe the mandate wey voters give dem as “sacred trust.”

He still commend Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and residents for helping make sure say the election process dey peaceful and credible.

For him remarks, Tinubu single out Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the FCT, for him “remarkable achievements for the territory,” talk say him leadership don bring serious political benefit give the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The President still congratulate APC national leadership and the party chapters for Kano and Rivers states for how dem perform for the polls.

He emphasize the importance of strong democratic institutions and call on INEC make dem continue to improve how dem dey run elections for future contests.

Although APC make big gains for several councils and constituencies, observers report say voter turnout low for some areas, and opposition parties, especially Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), don talk say dem go challenge some of the results for court.

People see the elections as important test ahead of the 2027 general elections, and the national leadership describe the overall outcome as sign say Nigeria democracy dey grow and evolve.
