Popular social media influencer Scott Iguma go appear for Federal High Court, Ikoyi today to answer 10-count charge wey concern im online posts against real estate company PWAN Group.
Iguma begin trend on social media since May 7, 2025 after e post video for Instagram where e claim say Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) don tag PWAN as Ponzi scheme. E also warn Nigerians make dem no do business with the company.
Later for May 16, Iguma talk say e follow carry people wey claim say real estate companies dupe dem including PWAN, Deluxe Residences, Ochacho Real Homes and Gtext Homes go report the matter to EFCC. According to am, some companies return people money but say PWAN no gree refund anybody.
Since then, Iguma don continue to post allegations against PWAN for im page. One of the popular stories na about one man wey allegedly complete payment for six plots of land and a house since 2020 but say PWAN never give am anything.
Ahead of today’s court appearance, Lagos State Police Command arrest Iguma as part of di legal process.
Authorities never release full details of the charges yet but legal observers dey follow the case closely as e touch social media accountability, freedom of speech and consumer protection.
