Tinubu Don Change Cabinet, Sack Edun and Dangiwa, Promote Oyedele

President Bola Tinubu don approve small change for him cabinet, as e remove two ministers and appoint new people join the Federal Executive Council (FEC), as part of effort to make governance strong and improve how economy matters dey run.

The announcement dey inside one statement wey Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume release.

Under the new changes, dem don remove Wale Edun from him role as Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy. E go hand over to Taiwo Oyedele, wey dem don appoint as replacement.

Same way, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, wey be Minister of Housing and Urban Development, don comot from the cabinet.

Dem don name Dr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma as minister-designate for the ministry, but e still dey wait for confirmation.

The statement talk say make all handover work finish on or before April 23, 2026.

Akume talk say the reshuffle aim na to improve how government dey coordinate work and how dem dey deliver.

E talk say, “These changes na to make government more united, improve how ministries dey work together, and make sure say delivery under the Renewed Hope Agenda get better impact.”

E add say President use him constitutional power under Sections 147 and 148 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) take do the adjustment.

The presidency show appreciation to the ministers wey dey leave, thank dem for their service and contribution, while dem still assure say dem go continue make more changes where necessary to improve performance and policy delivery.

This reshuffle na important change for Tinubu cabinet as the administration still dey push him economic reform agenda forward.
