Federal government don stop make anybody enforce the ban wey dem plan put on sachet alcohol and small PET bottle drinks, until dem finish review the matter.
Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation talk say make all action and enforcement on the ban pause for now, as dem still dey do consultation and waiting for final policy decision.
Dem say the review go consider wetin lawmakers don talk, how the ban fit affect the economy, public health wahala, and the overall interest of the country.
Dem also warn say any enforcement wey NAFDAC or any other agency do without approval from the SGF office no get power and people no suppose follow am.
Earlier, NAFDAC bin plan to stop the production, sale and distribution of sachet alcohol and small PET bottle drinks, but lawmakers and some stakeholders raise concern say the timing and effect on jobs and businesses no too clear.
For now, government say make everybody hold on until dem release final decision.
