U.S. Don Deliver Military Supplies to Nigeria to Boost Fight Against Terrorists

United States don deliver military supplies to Nigerian security agencies for Abuja, to support ongoing fight against terrorism and violent crime, AFRICOM (U.S. Africa Command) don confirm.

For post wey dem drop on X on Tuesday, AFRICOM talk say, “U.S. forces don deliver critical military supplies to our Nigerian partners in Abuja. This delivery dey support Nigeria operations and show say our security partnership dey strong.”

This move dey come as both countries dey deepen security collaboration. Federal Government talk say U.S. don promise better intelligence sharing, defence equipment, and other support to help Nigeria tackle terrorist and extremist groups.

Last November, Nigeria send high-level delegation go Washington, led by National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, to strengthen security ties. The team include Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi; Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lieutenant General Emmanuel Undiandeye; and Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga talk say the talks help correct international misconceptions about Nigeria, build mutual trust, and advance coordinated strategy to protect vulnerable communities, especially for Middle Belt.

Onanuga also add say Nigeria and U.S. don agree to set up Joint Working Group plus non-binding cooperation framework to guide future security and humanitarian support.
