The lawmakers — Barile Nwakoh wey represent Khana Constituency I and Emilia Amadi of Obio/Akpor Constituency II — na among the 27 members wey dey loyal to FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike. Dem don now talk say dem no dey interested again for the impeachment move.

According to dem, dem take the decision so that peace go return to Rivers State.

Dem say the constant political fight don dey slow down development and dey make life hard for ordinary people for the state.

“One of our focus na to make laws wey go help our people, no be to dey fight political battles,” one of the lawmakers talk for statement.

For months now, Rivers State House of Assembly don split into two camps, matter wey lead to several court cases and even the burning of the Assembly complex last year.

As these two lawmakers don withdraw, e don make am harder for the pro-Wike group to get the required two-thirds majority wey dem need to legally remove Governor Fubara.

Governor Fubara don repeatedly call for peace, dey urge political leaders make dem put differences aside and work together for the progress of Rivers State.
