Adejobi tok say anybody wey carry dog or any animal come polling unit on Saturday dey disobey di Electoral Act 2022 and other laws of di country. 

For dis reason, di police pipo dey beg Nigerians say make dey obey dis order, so dat dem go fit avoid any kind of wahala on di election day.

Di statement tok say: “Di Nigeria Police Force don see am as important matter to teach and warn Nigerians on di use of pets, especially, dogs, for di polling units on election day, as anybody wey do dis one don disobey di Electoral Act, 2022, wey dem just rearrange.

“The provision of Section 126 (1) of di Electoral Act. 2022, tok say anybody wey do anything wey disturb or disobey di elections rules and regulations, say dem go punish am cause as di law support and paragraph (f) tok say any wey carry weapon wey dem go use make other voters and electoral officers fear, dem go arrest am too.  And dem count dogs as offensive weapons as di persin wey get dem, go fit use dem make other pipo fear, harass dem and cause wahala or even wound other pipo. 

So di ideas and plans by some pipo, electorates, and groups to come di polls with deir pets no dey out of order, make dem no do am, and dis one mean say di persin dey break electoral law and dem won gbege pipo wey come out, come vote.

''Di Nigeria Police Force, come dey warn di pipo wey bin dey plan to come show deir pets, especially dogs, no matter deir reason, come polling units, say make dem no think am as dat one go mean say dem dey disobey di electoral Act, 2022, rearrange, and other laws.”
