Lagos Police Arrest Influencer ‘Peller’ For Jaga-Jaga Driving, Alleged Attempted Suicide

Lagos State Police Command don arrest and detain one 20-year-old social media influencer, Habeeb Hamzat, wey people sabi as Peller, becos eim wan kpai him self and dey drive jaga-jaga for road on top video wey go viral for social media.

According to police, the arrest follow one video wey surface online on Sunday, December 14, 2025, wey show Peller as e dey drive anyhow while e dey do live stream. Police say the reckless driving lead to dangerous road crash and serious motor accident, wey put the life of the suspect and other road users for serious risk.

For statement wey Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, release on Tuesday, the command describe the action as deliberate attempt to take him own life and one serious threat to public safety.
 

Police talk say dem don move the case go State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for proper investigation. Dem promise say the outcome of the investigation go come out public, and dem go charge the suspect to court wey get power to handle the matter, according to the law.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, CP Olohundare Jimoh, issue strong warning give social media influencers, content creators and members of the public make dem stop to use social media promote reckless, dangerous, illegal or criminal behaviour.

CP Jimoh say Lagos Police no go take that kind lawlessness, and anybody wey break the law go see shege for dia hand. He also urge all road users make dem obey traffic rules and regulations, as the command tanda to make sure peace and safety dey for Lagos at all times.

Police add say dem go continue to gbege any act wey fit cause breach of peace or lead to untimely death for the state.
