Lagos APC Pick Sonayon-James As Hamzat Running Mate

Sonayon-James, wey come from Badagry, go run election alongside Dr. Obafemi Hamzat under the APC ticket.

As her name come out as running mate, e don cause different reactions inside the party and among Lagos residents, especially for Badagry, where some stakeholders see the choice as recognition for the area wey don contribute to Lagos politics for many years.

Right now, Sonayon-James na the APC Deputy State Woman Leader for Lagos State and she don hold different positions for both the party and local government over the years. Before now, she serve as Supervisory Councillor for Agriculture and Social Services for Badagry West LCDA.

She also rise through the party ranks, from State Assistant Woman Leader to her current position for the state executive.

Before she enter politics full-time, she work for human resources, logistics and business management. She also be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DGS Chauffeurs & Logistics.

For education side, she get degree for Business and Human Resources Management from the University of Hull for the United Kingdom, and Master’s degree for Social Work from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).

APC never release detailed statement to explain why dem choose her, the announcement don already start political discussions across Lagos, especially for Badagry and among party members for the state.
