One group wey dem call Concerned Fulani People of Nigeria don come out to question wetin America dey talk about insecurity for Nigeria — especially di way some people dey link Fulani communities to violence and crime for di kontri.

Di group, wey Ibrahim Barkindo Chubado sign statement for dia name, talk say before before, America government sef don caution people make dem no dey do ethnic profiling or dey point finger at Fulani people anyhow. But now, di group say America don change di story, and dat one no make sense.

According to di statement wey dem release, di group say many of di security wahala wey dey happen for Nigeria na because of economic problems, land dispute, environmental pressure and governance failure — e no be say na Fulani people alone cause am.

Di group point finger at one report wey dem link to di U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom — wey allegedly claim say about 30,000 armed Fulani militants dey responsible for di violence wey dey happen for Nigeria.

"Such claims unfairly stereotype millions of law-abiding Fulani citizens and risk worsening ethnic tensions across the country," di statement tok.

Di group also remind everybody about di 2022 attack on St. Francis Catholic Church for Owo, Ondo State where people first blame Fulani people, but later, Nigeria Defence Headquarters come out say na people from Ebira subgroup do am. Despite dat truth, di group say some Fulani residents for Ondo State still face arrest and harassment.

Di Concerned Fulani People also point to other armed groups — like IPOB and im armed wing, di Eastern Security Network for South-East, and Yoruba Nation agitators for South-West — saying dat international reports dey focus too much on Fulani-related violence while dem dey overlook other dangerous groups wey dey operate for di kontri.

Di group call on Nigerian government and international community to face di real causes of insecurity — like ranching reform, fair land-use policy and strong law enforcement — instead of dey blame one ethnic group.

"Nigeria's future cannot be built on ethnic scapegoating, mutual suspicion, or divisive narratives," di statement add.
