All Progressives Congress (APC) don urge Nigerians make dem calm down and no use Ebola matter play politics. But African Democratic Congress (ADC) don raise concern say government fit use the situation as reason to restrict opposition campaign activities.
Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) don also oppose total suspension of campaigns. Instead, dem call for stronger public health measures and safer ways to campaign wey go reduce the risk of spreading the disease.
Meanwhile, public health experts don warn say checking people temperature alone no always dey detect travellers wey don catch Ebola, especially those wey never show any symptoms.
Dem don call for stronger disease monitoring, better infection prevention for hospitals, more public awareness and proper tracking of people wey don contact infected persons.
The experts also stress say government suppose provide hospitals and healthcare workers with enough protective equipment to prevent further spread of the disease.
