LASIEC Chairperson, Justice Bola Okikiolu-Ighile (Retired), talk this one for one press briefing. She come add say for di 376 councillorship positions wey dem contest, APC carry 375. Na only one seat PDP manage win — for Ward D, Yaba LCDA, where Babatunde Dosunmu Tijani, wey just waka from APC enter PDP, win di seat.
But opposition parties no gree with di result. Dem dey vex say di election no pure at all. Dem talk say plenty irregularities and mago-mago happen.
African Action Congress (AAC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Labour Party (LP) all condemn how di election take go. AAC Lagos chairman, Ayoyinka Oni, talk say di election na “shame to democracy.” E say INEC people come late, some ballot papers no get party logos, people no gree come vote, and say APC agents dey do rigging anyhow.
Oni come demand make dem cancel di election sharp-sharp. E even talk say LASIEC chairperson and Governor Sanwo-Olu suppose resign, say dem no let election free and fair.
PDP Deputy Chairman, Tai Benedict, talk say APC just do arrangee to make e look like say people still like dem. E talk say dem pack thumb-printed ballot paper full box and go announce fake numbers later.
SDP sef shout, say dem logo and party name no even show for ballot paper at all. Dem state chairman, Femi Olaniyi, talk say na daylight robbery and dem go carry di matter go court.
But APC no send all di noise. Dem say di election show say Lagos people still believe in dem. For statement wey APC spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, drop, dem thank Lagosians say dem vote well, and say di landslide victory show say people trust APC leadership and wetin dem dey do.
