Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) don suspend academic work for two weeks for the Iseyin campus, Oyo State, after one of their students from the campus die on top hit-and-run incident.
The institution, in a statement by the Spokesperson Olayinka O. Balogun, say the dead student na 200-level student from the Department of Agricultural Economics. She die when driver waka comot after hitting her.
According to the statement, the management say: “In light of this grievous loss, and in recognition of the emotional toll it has taken on our students and staff, the University Management has approved a two-week suspension of academic activities at the Iseyin campus, effective immediately.”
Students in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources for Iseyin campus don dey told say make dem go home and resume lectures again on Monday, 24 November 2025.
University management urge all students make dem dey safe and support one another during dis difficult time as dem mourn their departed colleague.
