For statement released on Monday, police say dem respect citizens’ right to peaceful protest. But dem warn say some banned groups and troublemakers fit try sneak in and hijack the demonstration.
The command caution say any interference fit jeopardise public safety and disturb peace for the capital.
To prevent wahala, police suggest organisers consider rescheduling the protest to ensure safety for everyone.
FCT Police assure residents say dem dey committed to protect lawful activities and keep the city safe, and dem encourage people to cooperate with security agencies to maintain peace.
