Officials from Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps don arrest one woman wey dem accuse say she dey mix spoiled yam flour (Elubo Isu) with dangerous colouring chemicals.
Di arrest happen as Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announce am for him official X (Twitter) handle on Friday.
Wahab talk say dem catch di woman, wey dem identify as Mrs. Kehinde Raji, after Chairman of Elubo Sellers Association blow whistle give government say some people dey do dangerous things with food for market.
According to di commissioner, Mrs Raji dey mix rotten yam flour with harmful chemical colour just to produce elubo wey she dey sell to innocent people wey no know say di food don spoil.
Wahab write say: “This morning, we receive correct intel from Elubo Sellers Association Chairman say some bad traders dey mix harmful colour with rotten yam flour to do fake Elubo Isu for innocent people to buy and chop.
“Our KAI enforcement team rush go market do raid, na so dem catch Mrs. Kehinde Raji red-handed as she dey do di illegal act. We hail di market leadership wey report di matter sharp sharp.”
Preliminary report don already show say some people wey chop di fake elubo don begin get health wahala. Di woman go face court as per law of #followlasg.
