Police Service Commission (PSC) and Nigeria Police Force (NPF) don add two more weeks to the deadline for 50,000 police constable recruitment, after plenty Nigerians rush apply.
Recruitment portal wey open since December 15, 2025, suppose close earlier, but PSC talk say e go now remain open till February 8, 2026. Dem make this announcement on Monday.
PSC extend the deadline after dem receive over 400,000 applications and notice say some states no apply reach others. States like Adamawa, Benue, and Kaduna get plenty applications, but Lagos, Ogun, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, and Anambra still dey behind.
PSC say dem extend the time make everywhere for Nigeria get fair representation. Dem also beg Nigerians wey qualify, especially people for states wey no too apply, make dem use this chance apply before deadline close.
For the statement, PSC call state governments, local councils, religious leaders, community leaders, and other stakeholders make dem help mobilize people and encourage qualified Nigerians to apply through the official portal.
PSC still promise say the recruitment go be fair and transparent, and say this extension na to allow more people participate and make policing stronger for the whole country.
