Kara Bridge Repairs Dey Cause Heavy Traffic for Lagos–Ibadan Expressway

Federal Controller of Works for Ogun State, Layi Komolafe, yan say the repair na serious matter.

“To replace the expansion joints for Kara Bridge wey dey outbound Lagos na necessary,” e talk, e also call on FRSC, Lagos Police, and LASTMA make dem help manage traffic.

Motorists dem dey urged make dem follow all directives and plan their journey well.

Federal Ministry of Works advise sey drivers fit use other routes: Shimawa or Mosinmi if you dey come from Ikorodu go Mowe, Sagamu, or Ibadan; and for Lagos Island, fit use Epe corridor via Ijebu Ode.

FRSC Lagos Sector Commander, Ganiyu Hamzat, warn sey some bad road sections dey cause accidents as vehicles dey dodge oncoming traffic.

“Some parts dey make vehicle swerve, wey dey cause crash,” e talk.

Ministry yan sey the work fit take six weeks reach two months.

 “Motorists dem, shorter route no mean say e go fast.

We dey appreciate una patience as we dey make this road safe and stable,” ministry add.
