Musa yarn this one for Channels Television programme Sunday Politics, say intelligence report show say the plot don dey on ground since September, and the people wey involve know say wetin dem dey do get serious risk.
“I sef be target… dem suppose arrest me, and if I refuse, dem suppose shoot me,” Musa talk.
E describe the plotters as “unserious people” and question how dem even think say dem fit succeed.
“If you check the kind people wey involve… I no know wetin enter their head make dem think say dem fit face the Armed Forces like that,” Musa add.
The minister talk say intelligence agencies discover secret meetings and communications between serving and retired officers, and say the plan include assassination of government leaders and detention of senior military officers.
“The people wey do am don already know the consequence of their action, and dem ready face the wrath,” Musa talk.
Authorities don arrest at least 16 officers over the alleged plot, and Defence Headquarters don say dem go charge the suspects before military judicial panel under the Armed Forces Act.
Government also talk say dem go look after the families of the accused officers.
Musa urge Nigerians make dem remain vigilant, and say national stability na everybody responsibility. E add say the plot show “dangerous level of recklessness.”
